Good afternoon
I have some good news the final report for the Inquiry into responses to historical forced adoptions in Victoria will be tabled in the Victorian Parliament Legislative Assembly on Wednesday afternoon. It should occur soon after the sitting day commences at 2.30 pm. Once the report is tabled, you will be notified via email, with a link to the report. If you have requested a hard copy, it will be posted that day.
If you are interested, parliamentary proceedings can be watched live here - https://www.parliament.vic.gov.au/video-and-audio/live-broadcasting - although the tabling of reports is a quick process where the Chair of the Committee simply hands the report to the Speaker.
Unfortunately, there willbe no Members speeches on the report this week as the sitting days have been truncated due to COVID restrictions. The Committee Members intend to speak to the report at a future sitting day once they are allowed to do so. Ill keep you informed as to when this will be so you can watch the proceedings online if you like.
Thank you for your patience. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind regards
Yuki
